Dracheninsel is located on the Traunsee Lake and it is in the 14th place out of 20 beaches in the Upper Austria region 56.4 km away from its center, the city of Linz. It is one of the beaches of Gmunden settlement, just 0.5 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.
