The beach is really nice and clean with plenty of space. It's easily accessible by bus, bike, or boat.
The water is murky with algae and debris, but the beach itself is clean and peaceful. There are boats anchored near the shore, making it necessary to navigate through them to reach the open sea for swimming.
This beach is absolutely lovely! It's easy to reach by taking a boat from Venice to Lido and then bus A, which takes about 1 to 1.15 hours from Piazzale Roma. The free beach was surprisingly not too crowded, considering I visited in August on a Sunday. The water was warm and shallow, perfect for kids, and we had no issues swimming. There's a nearby restaurant that offers reasonably priced drinks and snacks. I highly recommend this beach! Additionally, there's a secluded area with bushes and tall grass just a minute away from the water where you can enjoy privacy.
While not a must-visit for every traveler in Venice, taking the time to make the trip (about an hour by public transport from S. Marco) is definitely worth it. You'll be rewarded with a stunning view of the Adriatic, untouched by tourists or beach clubs, just pure nature, soft sand, and windswept dunes. Take a leisurely stroll all the way south, and out onto the jetty at the end for the full experience.
This beach is absolutely fantastic, and it's not crowded at all.
