Frate Beach is located on the Adriatic Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 2th place out of 26 beaches in the Ancona region 14.2 km away from its center, the city of Ancona. It is one of the beaches of Numana settlement, just 0.6 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area with very picturesque views, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and light fine pebble, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

A significant part of the beach is occupied by beach clubs with limited access The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area. The beach is absolutely breathtaking with its gravel sand. It's undeniably beautiful, although getting there can be quite a journey. While it can get pretty crowded when taking the bus, if you're physically fit, I highly recommend walking. The water may not be completely transparent, but it's still very pleasant and warm. The best part is that there's a free public shower available, which is a really nice amenity! Additionally, the village above the beach is also worth exploring, as it's truly amazing.
