It's a stunning location. Personally, I would prefer spending a day by the river in such a natural setting rather than going to the lake. Although it's not very close to Milan (almost 2 hours away), we visited on a weekday and didn't encounter any traffic. I suggest bringing your own food and water as there are no bars or kiosks in the area. It's also advisable to wear sneakers since there are some variations in terrain, even though the path itself is not steep. I am currently 7 months pregnant and had no issues, just make sure to take the correct route. Later in the day, we decided to explore Brugnello (a 10-minute drive away), which is a truly enchanting and picturesque village with only 11 residents. There is a B&B and a restaurant available as well.
