Alta Marea is located on the Tyrrhenian Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 59th place out of 82 beaches in the Nuoro region 75.1 km away from its center, the city of Nuoro. It is one of the beaches of Zinnibiri Mannu settlement, just 0.3 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area with very picturesque views, among the mountains.

It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, families with children, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

The beach is lovely with a wide stretch of sandy shoreline. As a traveler during the off-season, you'll likely have the beach to yourself. While there are no restaurants open in the winter, there is a shop that is open daily from 9-13, except on Sundays. It is incredibly peaceful from mid-November to the end of April. The water is shallow and easily accessible, even when the waves are strong.
