Pools of Venus is located on the Tyrrhenian Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 18th place out of 82 beaches in the Nuoro region 33.9 km away from its center, the city of Nuoro. It is one of the beaches of Triei settlement, just 11.9 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, among the mountains.

It is a small bay with crystal blue water and white fine pebble, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is quite sharp. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, hikers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

The water at this beach is incredibly clear and the shades of blue are unlike anything I've ever seen before. I highly recommend renting a boat in Cala Ganone for a day trip along the coastline between Cala Ganone and Cala Goloritze. It costs around 150€ per day, but it's definitely worth it.
