Review from contributor Michele Caliari The beach, a few kilometers long, can ONLY be reached on foot along the road that branches off from the square of Fiorenzuola di Focara (as there is a "certain" difference in height, the descent takes 15-20 minutes, the ascent at least 10-15 minutes longer). In the high season some nice guys offer a "street food" service and sunbed rental; otherwise don't forget to bring your umbrella, food and plenty of water (along the road you will find two fountains). To the south of Pesaro, the beach ends with rocks and stones (you can continue on foot with shoes suitable for trekking). The last 300/400 meters to the north are the wildest and least frequented: here, therefore, it has been "clothing optional" for several years; if you reach it, a certain tolerance is required towards those who immerse themselves in nature in complete freedom; if you (and/or your minor children) plan to be shocked, be patient and do not go as far as the northern end of the beach (on the left if facing the sea and with the mountains behind)... possibly, if you want a nice experience immersed in nature, go there after putting your bikini/swimsuit in your bag (highly recommended as a highly effective natural therapy against stress and in full respect of the pristine park...). The beach is also excellent for taking photographs and/or videos; I would warmly advise you to always ask for the consent of those present, especially in this more "free" area, in respect of those who fully immerse themselves in the splendid uncontaminated nature. After the "natur" area, the Vallugola bay can only be reached with suitable shoes, following a fairly demanding path.
In the midst of nature lies a pristine beach that offers a unique experience for those seeking solitude and a chance to connect with the environment. As you venture north, the crowds thin out and the landscape transforms into a desert-like terrain. It is a place where clothing is optional, but only towards the bottom left of the beach and without disturbing others. The journey to this hidden gem is not for the faint-hearted, as the road from Fiorenzuola is closed to minibuses, making it accessible only to true nature enthusiasts. This secluded beach is perfect for a refreshing naturist swim with your partner, followed by a relaxing sunbath to dry off.
The village of Fiorenzuola offers limited parking options, but the descent to the beach is partially paved. The climb down can be a bit strenuous, especially in hot weather, so it's best to wear shoes instead of beach slippers. However, the view of the entire bay is absolutely breathtaking, and on a clear day, you can even see Pesaro! 😃 While there are no restaurants on the beach, there is a basic service that offers drinks, meals, breakfast, and sandwiches. Additionally, there is a lifeguard stationed at the beach near the descent. The beach itself is free to access, with a short sandy stretch to the right and rocks to the left. If you continue for about a kilometer to the left, you'll come across a beach that is often frequented by naturists. ☀️ Beyond that, the sand disappears and is replaced by stones until you reach Castelmezzo beach. The water is often crystal clear and clean, with rocks that can be reached during low tide. Occasionally, a few boats will dock and stop nearby. On the beach, you'll find huts that have been built by visitors using sticks and logs. Overall, the beach has a very wild and beautiful feel to it.
