Praia I Focu beach is located on the Tyrrhenian Sea and it is in the 5th place out of 49 beaches in the Vibo Valentia region 24.4 km away from its center, the city of Vibo Valentia. It is one of the beaches of Grotticelle settlement, just 0.3 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a small several bays coastline with crystal blue water and light fine pebble, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

The beach is comparable to Sardinia's beautiful seas, if not superior. However, it is unfortunate that accessing the beach can only be done by boat or pedalo due to the excessively steep and hazardous descent from the viewpoint.
