Gilberto beach is located on the Ligurian Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 46th place out of 76 beaches in the Genoa region 23 km away from its center, the city of Genoa. It is one of the beaches of Cogoleto settlement, just 0.3 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains.

It is a long several bays coastline with crystal blue water and black sand & pebble cover, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, seniors etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Despite the fact that a significant part of the beach is occupied by resorts, there is still a fairly large area with free access. The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area. Their list includes, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets, sea pool. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

This beach is easily accessible, it is located very close to road. Parking is located directly on the beach.

The beach offers a prime location and the sea is truly exceptional. However, it's advisable to avoid lingering too long on the beach as the locals may start asking if you have a home to go to. Despite this, the beach provides a delightful and pleasurable experience.

The cost of admission was exorbitant, and the placement of the rented parasols was haphazard and violated social distancing guidelines. The other patrons were incredibly impolite and inconsiderate, and the manager displayed a lack of concern for the situation. Ultimately, the experience was not worth the 30 euros spent.

Nestled in the picturesque heart of Cogoleto, this beach offers a delightful experience. Though paid parking near the square is available, it can be a challenge to find a spot when it gets crowded. The free parking options are limited, so a bit of luck is required. The prices are reasonable, though. We had lunch here, and they reserved a table for us at a specific time, as per their regulations. The facilities are well-maintained, with clean toilets, cabins, and showers that have hot and cold water. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The beach has a separate swimming pool for children, which is a plus point. Additionally, the venue can be booked for children's parties, making it a great option for families. Overall, I highly recommend this beach.
