Buyuk Harbour is located on the Bali Sea (part of Indian ocean) and it is in the 134th place out of 160 beaches in the Bali region 36.1 km away from its center, the city of Denpasar. It is one of the beaches of Sampalan settlement, just 0.6 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and light sand & pebble cover, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Buyuk Harbour coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets, sea pool. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. Daily boat rental service is located nearby.

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

Be cautious if you need to communicate with your ride as Telkomsel signal is weak at this beach. Additionally, the beach has a mixture of light sand and pebbles.

The taxi prices are quite steep, with a 20-minute drive costing around 250k.

It is important to exercise caution when considering renting a scooter from the establishment located on this beach. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by a rather unpleasant encounter with one of the staff members. Despite our intentions to rent from a different vendor, the young lady in question became quite irate and began shouting at us. To make matters worse, she proceeded to overcharge us and even threatened to involve the authorities when we requested a refund. It may be wise to explore alternative options for scooter rentals in other areas of the island.

Upon arrival at the harbour, we unfortunately had a negative encounter with the taxi drivers who charged exorbitant prices. This left a sour taste in our mouths and tainted our initial perception of the island. In hindsight, we would have arranged transportation in advance to avoid this unpleasant experience.

When I visited the beach in the afternoon, I found that there were no activities available and I was unable to rent a Seadoo. However, the beach itself had a beautiful light sand with pebbles, which added to its natural charm.
