Great beach to chill out without a crowds (yet). Still as a Canggu 10 years ago but hotels and restaurants are booming like crazy.
I really enjoy this beach! It's best to arrive early, around 4PM, to secure a parking spot. The beach is accommodating to cars and motorcycles. There are plenty of warungs that offer delicious local food at reasonable prices, such as coconuts for only 20K. You can either relax and watch the sunset or take a stroll along the beach.
The beach has gray sand and is not very crowded. There are plenty of local warungs serving food and drinks, and the entry fee for motorcycles is only 2k. You can park in any available spot. However, the downside is that there is a lot of garbage, including plastics and dead trees, scattered all over the beach. Additionally, the waves can be quite strong.
Mengening Beach has quickly become one of our favorite spots for a prewedding photo shoot at sunset. The gray sand and the beautiful rocks surrounding the temple provide the perfect backdrop for creating stunning photos. Additionally, when the tide is high, it's a great spot to watch the waves crashing against the rocks.
The beach is extremely peaceful and serene, with gray sand that adds a unique touch. It is situated on a cliff, but there are stairs available for easy access. It may not be suitable for families with children, as there are no amenities or restaurants nearby. However, the lush greenery surrounding the beach makes for a picturesque view.
