Kontogourata beach is located on the Ionian Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 327th place out of 504 beaches in the Ioanian Islands region 158.4 km away from its center, the city of Corfu. It is one of the beaches of Katochori settlement, just 2.1 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, among the mountains.

It is a small bay with green pure water and light pebble, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is almost deserted place even during the high season.

Kontogourata beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature, toilets. .

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

This beach is easily accessible, it is located very close to road. Parking is located directly on the beach.

The beach stretches on the coast of the Kefalonia island and the easiest way to get to the beach is by car or bike. I discovered a hidden gem of a beach that only a few lucky individuals are aware of. There were at most 7 or 8 families present, allowing for a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The sea resembled a pristine swimming pool, truly magnificent. The only downside was the slightly challenging road leading to the beach, but if you take your time and approach it with a relaxed mindset, it is well worth the effort.
