Kamares beach is located on the Aegean Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 146th place out of 1022 beaches in the South Aegean region 55.5 km away from its center, the city of Ermoupoli. It is one of the beaches of Kamares settlement, just 0.4 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains.

It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season. There is a campsite located nearby.

Although it may not be the most spectacular beach in Sifnos, this particular stretch of coastline has its own unique charm. While the water may not be crystal clear due to its location in the port, there are plenty of beach bars and restaurants to enjoy. In addition, there are numerous shops and amenities nearby, making it a convenient spot to spend the day. Many of the beach bars offer complimentary sunbeds to paying customers, so you can relax in comfort while enjoying a refreshing drink. If you're travelling by scooter or car, parking is conveniently located nearby. One of the biggest draws of this beach is undoubtedly the stunning sunset views, which are second to none due to its orientation to the West.
