Travel websites may not mention Voudia Beach, but stumbling upon it by chance is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. The vast expanse of white pebble and pink sand is virtually empty, making it the perfect spot for a peaceful getaway. However, the beach's backdrop unfortunately consists of a perlite processing plant, which may not be the most picturesque view. To access the beach, take an unsignposted side road off the main road heading north to south. For those who enjoy swimming in complete freedom, it is recommended to leave your swimsuit or bikini at home as the beach is ideal for nude bathing. It's important to show respect for others' nudity and have the courage to embrace the experience.
Driving to this beach might be a viable option, but it's certainly not advisable to approach it on foot from Pollonia. The road is shared with fast-moving heavy goods vehicles, and the dust from the nearby mines and mineral refinery can be quite overwhelming.
Nestled in a hidden cove, this beach offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. However, it's worth noting that at the tip of the peninsula, there is a structure that serves an industrial purpose. Despite this, the serene beauty of the beach is not compromised and still offers a tranquil atmosphere for those seeking a secluded spot to relax and unwind.
The shore is adorned with smooth pebbles, presenting a picturesque view that is perfect for capturing memories. The water boasts a mesmerizing hue that is sure to leave you in awe. However, it is worth noting that the vicinity is home to some extractive businesses, which emit a pungent smell of sulphur that may not be everyone's cup of tea.
If it weren't for the mining company and ship docking, Voudia could have been a beautiful and picturesque beach. Unfortunately, due to these activities, the beach is not ideal for swimming.
