Megas Potamos is located on the Aegean Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 627th place out of 1022 beaches in the South Aegean region 143.8 km away from its center, the city of Ermúpoli. It is one of the beaches of Klisidi settlement, just 3.2 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, among the mountains.

It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and gray sand & rocks cover, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, hikers etc. It is almost deserted place even during the high season.

Megas Potamos coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

To get to the beach, you need to walk along a mountain trail about 500m long.

This beach is one of the top destinations on the island, perfect for soaking up some sun. However, even during high season, it remains deserted. It's worth noting that there's only one tree providing shade on the beach.
