Lemonakia beach is located on the Aegean Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 41th place out of 398 beaches in the Northern Aegean region 149.3 km away from its center, the city of Mytilene. It is one of the beaches of Kokkari settlement, just 1.4 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains.

It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and light pebble, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Perhaps it's about time for the locals to take back this beautiful area with their beach towels. If you happen to be a tourist, you might not be pleased with the 8 euro charge for a set of sunbeds, as it seems to be an unlawful privatization of this charming public beach. Should we consider contacting the authorities regarding the sunbeds placed dangerously close to the water?

The beach is absolutely lovely, with smooth pebbles, and it's nestled in a charming bay. The water is crystal clear, and the waves are fantastic. It's definitely worth taking a little detour, especially if you've already done some hiking in the nearby hills.

The beach is pleasant with pebbles that have a light color. There is ample parking space, and the access is convenient. I gave it a rating of 4 stars. However, I was disappointed to find out that they only provide two sunbeds without any additional amenities for €10. If you visit with a family of four during the tourist season, you may find the prices for a €3 toast, a €9 hamburger, or a club sandwich quite steep. It can be quite challenging to enjoy yourself under these circumstances.
