Kamares is located on the Aegean Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 778th place out of 1022 beaches in the South Aegean region 164.2 km away from its center, the city of Ermoupoli. It is one of the beaches of Lipsi settlement, just 2 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, among the mountains.

It is a small several bays coastline with crystal turquoise water and rocks cover, so it is highly recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, hikers etc. It is almost deserted place even during the high season.

Kamares coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

To get to the beach, you need to walk along a mountain trail about 500m long.

In my humble opinion, I wouldn't recommend giving this beach a go. While it is accessible by foot or car (preferably a sturdy crossover), the beach itself is quite rocky and has a fair share of animal droppings scattered about. If you're looking for a better alternative, I would suggest checking out Monodendri instead.

The beach is not worth visiting due to its challenging accessibility and unremarkable rocky terrain. Sitting outside is not even an option, and the sea does not offer much excitement. While the waters may be pristine, the cleanliness of the island's other beaches is equally impressive. It's best to explore the island's superior beach options instead.

This stunning and isolated beach boasts a pebble shoreline and crystal-clear waters with a rocky bottom. The beach is shaded by towering cedars, providing a cool respite from the sun. However, getting there can be challenging due to the treacherous dirt road and loose terrain. This beach is perfect for those who enjoy nudity. A small cave, Kamares, can be found on the right side of the beach, only accessible by sea. Further down, there are coves with large flat plates of sedimentary origin. Due to its northern orientation, waves can often be seen crashing against the shore, adding to the natural beauty of this hidden gem.

Ah, what a splendid and tranquil beach we stumbled upon! The seclusion was divine, as we spent the entire day perched upon the rocks, gazing out at the vast sea. And to our delight, we had the entire beach to ourselves. It was the perfect setting for a bit of au naturel sunbathing.
