This beach is absolutely breathtaking, but getting there can be a bit of a challenge. If you plan on hiking, it's best to start early and take plenty of water with you. If you're driving, be prepared for some extremely steep roads. And if you're on a motorbike, make sure you have experience riding before attempting this route. Once you arrive, you'll be rewarded with stunning views and crystal-clear waters. It's the perfect spot for a peaceful and relaxing day at the beach. Don't forget to bring your snorkeling gear so you can explore the underwater world. And if you have time, be sure to check out the beautiful church and graveyard at the top of the pass. Overall, highly recommended for those who are up for an adventure and want to experience the natural beauty of the area.
This beach is an absolute gem for those seeking a peaceful swim and some solitude. The water is a stunning shade of green and blue, with crystal clear and pleasantly warm temperatures. Nestled at the base of a small canyon, this beach is a bit of a trek, but the steep climb is well worth it. Unfortunately, there were some plastic debris and even a discarded needle found on the shore, so it's important to exercise caution when walking around barefoot.
The beach is an incredibly secluded location, with only a small trickle of water to rejuvenate those who have made the trek from the nearby chapel. It would be greatly appreciated if visitors could conserve the limited water supply.
This secluded beach may require a bit of a trek to get to, but the beauty that awaits is worth every step. Our group packed a delicious picnic and spent an entire day basking in the stunning surroundings. Despite its remote location, this beach is truly a hidden gem that any nature lover would appreciate.
Embark on a brief but invigorating hike up to the Koimisi chapel, spanning roughly 1km of uphill trekking. The panoramic vistas of the Aegean sea towards Patmos and Ikaria from the chapel are truly breathtaking. Opt for an early morning or late afternoon hike, bring along some water, and light a candle at the chapel for a serene experience. Upon your descent, take a refreshing dip in the tranquil waters of Koimisi beach, one of the more secluded areas on the island. Unless you are a dedicated hiker planning to walk all the way from the village, renting a car or motorcycle is recommended to reach this destination.
