The beach is quite lovely and secluded, with flat stones adding to its charm. When we visited in late August, there were only four of us present. While the dirt road leading to the beach is generally passable, the uphill stretch towards the end can be a bit challenging, especially with powdery puddles and small stones. On our way back, we faced a lot of trouble as our SUV with only front-wheel drive kept spinning. Eventually, we managed to climb the particular point in reverse, but the car suffered a lot. Although the beach was worth it, I regretted the drive.
The beach is truly lovely, and the tamarisks provide ample shade. You can get there from Diafani by either taking a rough path or the dirt road. During our visit in September 2020, we had the entire beach to ourselves.
The beach is absolutely fantastic with its flat dark gray stones and light green water. I walked there from Diafani and the scenery along the way was splendid. The colors of the water were truly unique with shades of green and blue. It took me about an hour and a half to get there on foot, walking along paths and dirt roads.
The beach is stunning and can be accessed by foot from Diafani. However, it's not recommended to attempt the journey by car as the road is too steep unless you have a 4x4. It's about an hour of walking to reach the beach.
The village of Diafani in Karpathos is truly unforgettable with its nine tavernas and stunning stone beaches that offer breathtaking views of the mountains and the white village of Olympos.
