It is one of the beaches of Astypalea settlement, just 2 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains.

It is a spacious bay with crystal blue water and gray sand & pebble cover, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. The beach offers of natural beauty, with a generous amount of shade provided by the surrounding flora. The pebbles and sand mix together to form a unique texture that is pleasing to the eye. As you venture into the water, the seabed changes from coarse sand to shoals and flats, eventually leading to vast sandbars that are shallow at the beginning. The beach is quite extensive and unorganized, with a few coves on the left side that are perfect for the adventurous souls.

Marmari has of a trio of pristine beaches comprising of pebbles and sand, where the waters are so clear, you can see right through them.
