Golden sand is located on the Aegean Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 79th place out of 398 beaches in the Northern Aegean region 26.5 km away from its center, the city of Mytilene. It is one of the beaches of Agios Stefanos settlement, just 1.7 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Golden sand coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

This beach is easily accessible, it is located very close to road. Parking is located directly on the beach.

It's ironic that despite its reputation as the most stunning beach on Lesvos, this claim seems dubious at best.
