This beach is a lovely place for strolling by the water, taking your dog for a walk, or engaging in kite-boarding activities! It's important to be cautious about the quick incoming tide and the potentially hazardous water levels and currents in this area. Additionally, don't miss out on the mouthwatering moules-frites and local cider at the numerous waterfront restaurants - they are definitely a must-try when visiting the Baie de Somme!
Located on the Somme estuary, this beach stretches out as a vast area of sand and silt when the tide is low, allowing for long walks. However, during high tide, boats can be spotted, although swimming is not recommended here. Keep an eye out for spoonbills, white herons, and various gulls that may grace the surroundings.
On a beautiful sunny day, we visited the breathtaking beach in the northern region of France, known as Le Crotoy.
There are only two showers available at the entire beach, but it's a pleasant and tranquil spot when the tide is low.
