Plage du Saussaye is located on the English channel (part of North Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 10th place out of 24 beaches in the Ille-et-Vilaine region 66.8 km away from its center, the city of Rennes. It is one of the beaches of Le Bas Valade settlement, just 0.5 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Plage du Saussaye coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

This beach is absolutely stunning, and it's refreshing to see that there are very few plastic particles littering the area. Let's all work together to keep it that way! The walking trails around the beach are a great way to explore the area, and it's less crowded than the nearby Pointe de Grouin. However, I would caution against swimming alone due to the strong currents. There are also some lovely ocean pools nestled between the rocks, which are like miniature ecosystems of their own. Just be sure to check the tides before venturing out to explore. Overall, this is a wonderful spot to enjoy the beauty of the ocean.

This charming beach boasts lovely tide pools, though at low tide the shoreline can be a bit rocky. During my visit, I was thrilled to spot some Common Bottlenose Dolphins swimming quite close by, making my time here all the more worthwhile.
