Plage des Iles is located on the Mediterranean Sea and it is in the 92th place out of 92 beaches in the Haute-Corse region 31.5 km away from its center, the city of Bastia. It is one of the beaches of Macinaggio settlement, just 3 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, among the mountains.

It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and gray pebble, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, hikers etc. It is almost deserted place even during the high season.

Plage des Iles coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

Getting to the beach is not easy. To reach it, you need to take a path more than 1km long.

The beach boasts a breathtaking location, but it's not accessible by car. You'll need to park at Tamaronne beach and walk along the seaside for about 35 minutes. Keep in mind that the path may not be suitable for young children or those without proper footwear. Despite the trek, the view is stunning and the beach isn't crowded. If you're visiting Cap Corse, this spot is definitely worth checking out.

While we were on the island for snorkeling, we had a frightening encounter with two policemen on a small boat. The boss, who had a harelip, was quite aggressive and they ended up stealing our snorkeling equipment. We were shocked and disappointed as there was no indication that snorkeling was prohibited in that area. It seems like an unfortunate situation caused by an old and racist person who is driving away tourism.
