Barcaggio beach is located on the Mediterranean Sea and it is in the 20th place out of 92 beaches in the Haute-Corse region 34 km away from its center, the city of Bastia. It is one of the beaches of Barcaggio settlement, just 0.8 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, among the mountains.

It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, hikers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Barcaggio beach coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, beach restaurant, toilets. Daily boat rental service is located nearby.

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities. This beach is popular for windsurfing or kiteboarding.

4 Frustrating

The beach was quite unpleasant due to the presence of cows and their droppings all over. Additionally, the beach was littered with dried seaweed during our visit. The water was quite shallow for a significant distance, making it less enjoyable. Overall, we did not feel that the beach was worth the trip.

I would definitely recommend this beach. It's been cleared of algae since the storm and is easily accessible by car with a short walk. It's not too crowded and has a lovely view!

There's a stunning beach in Corsica that's home to a herd of cows. It's a wonderful spot, and if you venture out a bit, you can take refuge under the shade of some small trees. Regrettably, we encountered a lot of jellyfish on our visit, but we made up for it with some ice cream.
