Ile Rousse beach is located on the Mediterranean Sea and it is in the 14th place out of 92 beaches in the Haute-Corse region 42.5 km away from its center, the city of Bastia. It is one of the beaches of L'Ile-Rousse settlement, just 0.2 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, seniors etc. It is very crowded place during the season.

Despite the fact that a significant part of the beach is occupied by resorts, there is still a fairly large area with free access. The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area. Their list includes, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. Daily boat rental service is located nearby. This area has also a water park in the sea with various inflatable toys which constitute excellent activities for parents and children.

This beach in the city is quite cozy. The water and sand are clean, and it's a big plus that it's a non-smoking beach. However, it's lacking some facilities such as a functional shower. It's a great spot for kids, as it's conveniently located near the center. If you're driving, there's parking available right in front.

The beach is quite lovely and well-maintained, conveniently located just a short walk from the town. It doesn't tend to get too crowded, although there are typically more visitors in the afternoon. If you're interested in renting a sunbed and umbrella, it's advisable to book ahead at one of the nearby bars. We paid 15€ for one sunbed per day, and it's worth noting that card payments are accepted.
