The water is crystal clear and there are charming bars available, plus plenty of parking space. Despite being October, the beach is still quite popular, but we were able to find enough room. It's an ideal spot for families with young children!
The beach is quite long and lovely, located about 500 meters away from the parking area. To get to the parking area, you should keep to the left and pay a fee of 5€. If you choose to dine at the restaurant, there is an additional charge of 10€, but you can get a discount of 10€ if you do. I suggest parking on the main road or across from it, which is also a 500m walk to the beach.
Our expectations were higher when we visited Palombaggia, as Santa Giulia beach left us wanting more. The beach is long but narrow, making it difficult to find a spot. Unfortunately, we ended up in front of some mobile homes where we experienced a strong odor, possibly from the toilets. On the bright side, the water was clear and shallow, making it a great spot for families with young children. However, there was quite a bit of grass in the water and on the beach. The parking lot was a 5-minute walk away and cost us 5€ for the entire day.
The water is crystal clear and the sand is a beautiful white color. However, despite these positives, the beach only receives a rating of three out of five. One of the reasons for this is because the beach is incredibly crowded during the month of August. Additionally, there are quite a few seaweeds present that can sometimes give off an unpleasant odor. However, if you opt to pay for the beach, these issues are typically taken care of and the beach looks stunning. On the downside, parking can be quite expensive with the closest lot charging a whopping 20€. If you're looking for a cheaper option, there are other lots available with a nice walk along a scenic path. Overall, while the beach is nice, there are definitely better options available such as Balistra, Petit Sperone, Stagnolu, and even Rondinara.
This beach in Corsica is definitely one of the best! The water is incredibly clear and there are some great bars and restaurants nearby. If you feel like exploring, there are quieter areas to discover as well.
