Purraja beach is located on the Mediterranean Sea and it is in the 2th place out of 255 beaches in the South Corsica region 30.9 km away from its center, the city of Ajaccio. It is one of the most beautiful beaches of Propriano Prupia settlement, just 1 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, pet owners etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

The beach, situated after the Lido, is incredibly beautiful and not crowded at all. It can be easily accessed below the car park, allowing you to explore it at a leisurely pace. From there, you can enjoy a stunning view of the Gulf of Valinco and even spot a Genoese tower. The water is crystal clear, although the ground is covered in somewhat uncomfortable stones, so it's advisable to wear proper footwear when visiting.

We walked past this beach and noticed that the sand is quite rough and the overall atmosphere is not very pleasant. However, just a short distance to the south, the sand becomes finer and the natural surroundings become more stunning.
