It's a lovely little cove, and it's quite secluded with hardly any people around.
The bathing bay (Calanque) is lovely, with crystal clear water and plenty of caves and bays to discover nearby. It's definitely worth catching the first ferry at 9am to Île Verte, as the island is less crowded at that time. Although the cost of almost 50€ for a family with two children may seem steep, it's worth it for the experience.
The beach is not recommended as it tends to attract a lot of tourists and the area is not very safe. Additionally, there is no privacy and the beach itself is quite small and covered in pebbles, which can be uncomfortable to walk on. It's important to make a reservation at the restaurant ahead of time as it can be difficult to find a spot to eat or drink otherwise. Despite these drawbacks, the view from the beach is quite beautiful.
The walk from La Ciotat to this beach is quite pleasant, and the area is surrounded by natural beauty and a wild reserve.
Beautiful small beach.
