Calanque de Mugel is located on the Mediterranean Sea and it is in the 20th place out of 59 beaches in the Bouches-du-Rhone region 24 km away from its center, the city of Marseille. It is one of the beaches of La Ciotat settlement, just 1 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area with very picturesque views, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and brown pebble, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Calanque de Mugel coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. .

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities, sup-surfing.

This beach is easily accessible, it is located very close to road. Parking is located directly on the beach.

The beach is charming but on the smaller side, so it's best to arrive early to secure a spot. The water is delightful for swimming and there are fish to observe. Keep in mind that it's a pebble beach.

This is a lovely spot in La Ciotat, and the beach has a more intimate feel than the nearby white sand beaches. It's a small pebble beach with supervised swimming starting at 9 am, but it's best to arrive early to secure a good spot. Unfortunately, I have concerns about the water quality on some days, which is disappointing. Additionally, despite the presence of many trash cans, the beach is not always very clean. Parking can also be a hassle and quite expensive.
