It is one of the beaches of Playa El Cuco settlement, just 4.6 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place.

It is a long lasting coastline with crystal blue water and gray sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. The beach is relatively pristine and conveniently located with a well-maintained roadway for easy access. There are plenty of local establishments offering reasonably priced goods and services. The lifeguard team is diligent in ensuring the safety of all beachgoers, minimizing any potential hazards. The parking lot is well-organized and secure, offering a great option for visitors to the Union coast. Additionally, there are often various events held in collaboration with the tourism authorities of Intipuca municipality.

Playa El Cuco has a bustling atmosphere during peak holiday season, with parking being a challenge due to the influx of tourists. However, on regular weekends, the beach is at its prime, offering a plethora of dining options and cocktail bars. The prices are unbeatable, with meat and chicken dishes starting at $6.00, and fried fish ranging from $6 to $12. Be sure to try their signature shell cocktails, breaded shrimp, and garlic, as well as their stuffed lobster, which is a steal at $12.00. Don't forget to indulge in their shrimp ceviche and wash it down with a dozen shells, domestic or foreign beer, iced tea, water, or smoothies.
