Azul beach is located on the Caribbean Sea (part of South Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 221th place out of 246 beaches in the Dominican Republic region 125 km away from its center, the city of Santo Domingo. It is one of the beaches of Juan Esteban settlement, just 0.8 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a spacious bay with turquoise water and light pebble, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Azul beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

Located at the base of high cliffs, and accessible by a staircase from a hotel just above the beach, Playa Azul is just 10 minutes east of the town of Barahona. This romantic cove has a beach that is part stone and part white sand, with turquoise waters and waves. Stay close to the shore while enjoying the stunning scenery.

It is a boutique hotel on the coast of Barahona, more suitable for couples or families with teenage or adult children, with cabin-type rooms with amenities. The area is cute, small restaurant with a good menu. Small private beach, down some stairs, but the waves are strong and not suitable for children or at least without supervision, the tide rises at night and the area to get off should be cleaner and brighter. The views are beautiful. It is 10 minutes from the other beaches in both directions. They only worked with cash when I went.

Nice, quiet, good food. You can spend the night, the rooms are not cramped, there is air conditioning. But the prices for everything are unreasonably high.
