Playa Ventanas is located on the Pacific ocean and it is in the 117th place out of 233 beaches in the Costa Rica region 103 km away from its center, the city of San Jose. It is one of the beaches of Pinuela settlement, just 1.4 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious coastline with turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, seniors, partygoers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Ah, the beach in the cove with caves through the rock to the ocean. Once a serene getaway, now a bustling hub of commerce with licensed vendors and their tents, tables, and chairs. It's the perfect place to witness the locals in their natural habitat, playing soccer on the sand and enjoying big family cookouts. And let's not forget about the shallow entry and stunning sunsets during peak season. It's a true paradise, if you don't mind sharing it with the masses.

What a delightful beach! Our visit coincided with high tide, which provided a thrilling spectacle as the waves crashed through the caves. A small parking fee is charged, with rates of 2k colones before 2pm and 1.5k colones after. Lifeguards are on duty to ensure safety. Kids will love the swing by the river, which offers a refreshing dip in the water. This beach is a hub of activity, with local artists selling their wares, food carts offering delicious treats, and plenty of opportunities to unwind. We highly recommend a visit, and we can't wait to return during low tide to explore the caves on foot!
