Frijolar Beach is located on the Pacific ocean and it is in the 89th place out of 233 beaches in the Costa Rica region 187 km away from its center, the city of San Jose. It is one of the beaches of Marbella settlement, just 1.4 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and gray sand & rocks cover, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Frijolar Beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

Please note, that this shore has a significant low tide.

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities. There are also some surf spots.

This beach is easily accessible, it is located very close to road. Parking is located directly on the beach.

Unfortunately, Playa Frijolar is situated in a remote location near the town of Marbella, in the District of Cuajiniquil, Canton of Santa Cruz, Province of Guanacaste, Costa Rica. The only way to access the area and move around Guanacaste is by car, but even then, the final 20 km (12.5 miles) of dirt road to reach Marbella is a treacherous journey, especially if you are coming from Santa Cruz or the northern beaches. Although a 4WD SUV is recommended, you can attempt the drive in a regular automobile at your own risk. If you are coming from San José and its surrounding areas, you must take the route to Santa Cruz in Guanacaste, which is a long and tedious journey. Even if you fly into Liberia International Airport, it still takes around 1.5 hours to reach the place, which is not worth the effort. Moreover, the beach itself
