This place is a hidden gem - just a brief stroll through the rainforest and you'll discover this tranquil beach! The water is delightful and transparent, and there are plenty of palm trees providing shade. Keep in mind that there are no facilities like restrooms, seating areas, cafes, or trash bins, so make sure to bring all your necessities and take your litter when you leave. You'll notice several signs cautioning about rip currents, so it's advisable to avoid swimming, but there are numerous rock pools perfect for wading. Additionally, be cautious when selecting your spot to sit as the tide appears to rise swiftly!
This beach is the most stunning one in the area, ideal for children. The only thing we wish it had is a bar...
This beach is located on the coast of the Caribbean Sea in the Atlantic Ocean, and it is truly stunning. The shoreline is adorned with palm trees, other trees, and lush jungle. As you explore the area, you may spot howler monkeys and parrots perched high up in the treetops. The beach itself has soft, sandy shores and the waves are not too powerful, making it easy to enter the ocean. If you're seeking tranquility, you can simply take a short walk along the beach to find a secluded spot without any crowds. It's an experience that you won't soon forget - truly an incredible place.
During my stay at the Secluded beach resort bungalows, which are conveniently located across from the Shawandha Lodge, I had direct access to the beach through a beautiful path surrounded by nature. Every morning, around 6am, I would embark on a delightful walk along this path, encountering a variety of wildlife that never failed to surprise me. I was fortunate enough to spot incredible creatures such as sloths, howler monkeys, spider monkeys, hummingbirds, butterflies, a guinea pig-like creature, and even a small snake. Additionally, the beach itself boasted crystal clear blue waters, soft golden sand, and impressive coral reefs, although it's important to be cautious of the strong rip currents at Playa Chaquita. These currents gave me quite a scare while snorkeling, as it's easy to become mesmerized by the hundreds of exotic fish swimming amidst the coral reefs. Nevertheless, I spent hours snorkeling and admiring the abundance of tropical fish on that beach. It's worth mentioning that I was there from October 12th to 19th, 2022, and the weather was absolutely perfect. If given the opportunity, I would move there without hesitation.
The beach is absolutely stunning, with a peaceful atmosphere that is far from the bustling crowds. It is impeccably clean and boasts a picturesque setting. The water is crystal clear, although there are rocks scattered in certain sections. During April, there was a noticeable amount of seaweed present, although I'm unsure if it is a seasonal occurrence.
