Waiao Beach is located on the Philippine Sea (part of Pacific ocean) and it is in the 6th place out of 20 beaches in the Taiwan region 33.3 km away from its center, the city of Taipei. It is one of the beaches of Beigangkou settlement, just 0.5 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains.

It is a long lasting coastline with turquoise water and gray sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Waiao Beach coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, beach restaurant, showers, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis.

The beach offers stunning scenery and breathtaking views. Its pristine sands and refreshing breeze make for a truly invigorating experience. What's more, it's fascinating to note that the train station is unstaffed. Even if you're not particularly fond of aquatic activities, taking a detour to this beach is definitely worthwhile.
