Swimming was perfect today but I can imagine that it is very dangerous here with a full moon tide. Lots of signage and a red flag to advise you not to swim, so you go in at your own risk. However this is an interesting historical site and a beautiful place to chill.
Unique location easily recognisable from a wonderful TV series Foundation. But what is even more interesting is the history of this place. We came later across very interesting old photos of this location and that got us even more interested to dig deeper into its past
The views are amazing from Pescante de Hermigua. I can definitely suggest to do a walk up to the place. However, I would not advise to go swimming for unexperienced people, as the sea can get pretty rough and the waves reach into the natural pool.
Spectacular swimming pool filled by sea water. Quite a walk and slippery rocks make it an adventure of sorts. Only go in when locals go. Dangerous rocks in the open side.
A beautiful place. If you want to swim here, you should check the tides. During high tide it is very dangerous to swim in the pool. I myself got some scrapes and bruises because I underestimated the waves. Fortunately, I was not pulled over the edge of the pool into the open sea. Later I heard in the village that people have already died there this year. There is an initiative by the people of Hermigua to reopen the place and make it more secure. It would be wonderful if this could be done one day. (The video is not from the day I was swimming there)
