We had a fabulous time at the beach. After a day exploring Puerto de Mogan old town and taking in the amazing views at the mirador viewpoint, we decided to relax on the beach with some ice creams we bought at a nearby shop. It's conveniently close to lots of amenities, so you can easily get snacks and drinks while someone else stays on the beach. It's clean and has parking nearby, making it the perfect beach town! The sand is imported and golden, and you can either rent sunbeds with parasols or just sit on the towel. nestled in a sheltered cove and the waves are gentle, perfect for paddling without getting wet. We could see plenty of fish in the crystal-clear water and it's a great spot for snorkelling. We would definitely recommend Playa de Mogan - it's our joint favourite with Playa de Amadores and suitable for all ages.
Getting to the beach is convenient, as you can take a bus from nearby towns and it is only a 5-10 minute walk from the station. The beach can become quite crowded, so if you want to secure a sunbed, make sure to arrive early. It is a great spot for kids, and there are public bathrooms nearby. You can find plenty of restaurants, cafes, and gelaterias in the vicinity, and a supermarket is just a 2 minute walk away. We recommend booking a table at a restaurant in advance and spending the whole day here. The sand is natural and if you prefer white sand, you can visit Amadores or Anfi del Mar.
This place offers the best of both worlds: a sheltered swimming harbour as well as a section of golden sands for sunbathing, complete with sunbeds and sun umbrellas. For those who prefer it, there's also a stretch of beach where you can lay down a towel and soak up the sun.
This quaint town is a sight to behold. With its picturesque harbor, it's like a living museum of the sea, teeming with an array of aquatic life. Though the beach is small and bustling, it's well worth the visit. Gran Canaria's most beautiful destination is here.
Playa de Mogan is perfect for those looking for a tranquil and scenic holiday spot. With plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from, as well as a small beach area and picturesque harbour, it's easy to access and makes for a great spot to relax. However, if you're looking for a lively nightlife and party scene, it's probably not the best choice. Friday is market day, which can get quite busy, but is still well worth a visit!
