We had a great day on the beach. Water was calm and considering it's lake Erie, it was pretty clear. Beach was pretty clean but there were parts you were reminded it was still Ohio, covered in cigarette and empty cups/bottles.
The water is still shallow (3-4 feet) pretty far out! Beach is very clean and there are rinsing stations and restrooms nearby. There are a few games out on the beach like connect four and cornhole. There are also some bars and restaurants accessible outside the park on the hotel breakers property. Admission is free, other than the cost of parking in the big cedar point lot.
If you are visiting Cedar Point for the amusement park, don't forget to check out the beach! Easily accessible from the main and waterpark parking lots, and there are two entrances to the park at by Windseeker (on the beach) and Magnum (near Hotel Breakers). Perfect way to enjoy the Lake Erie scenery, and to avoid/detour the crowd that's inside the park. Best of all, after a long day at the park, if you parked in the main lot, you can take the Magnum gate out, and walk along the beach to get to your car; which makes it great to see life at Hotel Breakers and on the beach, and potentially see the sunset to mark off a great day at Cedar Point!
Such a great place. We had lots of fun hanging out on the beach and all the fun activities and things to do. It almost makes you feel like your really by the ocean. I’m from the Jersey Shore so I know what it’s like and you definitely can’t tell. We loved the games and the staff was great, especially Hanna, who was so helpful and a great asset to the beach. Love the views and the atmosphere.
Water is great! Walk just a bit down from the entrance for more space. It's also cleaner as you get closer to the resort. 100% worth the parking for a great day at a safe, peaceful beach.
