The day I visited was very windy and raining on and off. I had the entire beach to myself. Plenty of parking. So many beautiful smooth rocks of all shapes and colors. I was dressed appropriately so it was a great day. I even got to see a very beautiful but brief rainbow 🌈.
This is a nice little beach. Easy access to the water for anyone who has a hard time walking. There is a nice pavilion by the parking lot with picnic tables and a few grills. And there is a pit lavatory on site. There is a single boat launch here with a nice dock around it. The parking lot isn't super big but has enough spaces to trun a truck with trailer around to park.
ROCK HOUNDERS would absolutely love this very large beach. I visited it the first Saturday after Labor Day. I was shocked at how dead it was! I'm not complaining, but a beach as beautiful as this one is normally very busy. It is a relatively large beach (end to end) so I think it would probably take a lot of ppl to make it feel crowded. The park has a nice pavilion, a few charcoal grills, a bench up near the water in the sand, a vaulted toilet, as well as a boat ramp to load/unload your boat into the water. The only downfall I could possibly see is parking. There didn't seem to be much of it given the size of the park. I highly recommend checking this beach out even if you're not into looking for rocks, but you just enjoy relaxing at the beach.
Beautiful clear water beach with free parking, restroom. Swimming is great but water is cold. Nice sunsets.
So this past weekend we went up to the up and stopped at this place and camp for the night. Was awesome little place to sleep for the night. The water was calm the weather was beautiful in the water was crystal blue.
