I've been to Playa del Medio four times, all of which I spent in Hotel Jardin Tecina. It's a 40-minute walk from the hotel to the beach, but you can also rent a bike or drive if you prefer. The road is quite narrow in some areas, so you have to be careful when passing other cars. The beach has a rather laid-back atmosphere and the people there are friendly. You can sunbathe on the pebbles that have been warmed by the sun, or go for a swim (some people go nude, while others wear swimsuits). If you want to sunbathe nude, there are a few semi-circle wind breaks made from pebbles that provide a bit of privacy. Lizards also live among the pebbles and you can feed them with bananas or apples. Just be careful, as they may mistake your fingers for fruit. On windy days, the waves and currents
I have had the pleasure of visiting Playa del Medio on four occasions while in La Gomera. Hotel Jardin Tecina is only a 40 minute walk away, but you can also hire a bike or drive. The road is a bit narrow in some places, so caution is advised when passing other cars. There is a small carpark where camper vans park up. The beach has a laid-back atmosphere and everyone is so friendly. The sun-warmed pebbles are perfect for sunbathing, and you can choose to wear a swimsuit or not. There are even semi-circle wind breaks made from pebbles for those who want a bit of privacy. There are also lizards living among the pebbles that you can feed with bananas and apples. Just be careful as they may mistake your fingers for fruit! When the wind is strong, the waves and currents can be quite strong, so you may want
