Isla Palomino, a small and deserted island off the east coast of Puerto Rico near Las Croabas in Cabezas barrio, Fajardo, is a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered. The untouched beauty of this island, along with its peaceful surroundings, offers a peaceful getaway from the busy city life. The natural charm of Isla Palomino, against the stunning backdrop of Fajardo's coastline, creates a picturesque setting. Whether you're looking for a quiet escape or an exciting adventure in the crystal-clear waters around the island, Isla Palomino guarantees a one-of-a-kind and memorable experience.
The beach was beautiful. I enjoyed a nice lunch with great service right on the sand. The beach was clean, and the water was a perfect 82 degrees for Christmas. Making a reservation was easy (departing every half hour each way), and there were showers and bathrooms available.
The island is stunning and the beach is beautiful. The water may not be as clear as other beaches in the Lesser Antilles, but it is still lovely with white sand and turquoise water. However, the food and service are lacking. We had to wait over 30 minutes for a waiter to come to our area.
The private island at El Conquistador is a fantastic perk for guests. The island features a wonderful restaurant with delicious food. The ride from the resort to the island is also enjoyable. I suggest visiting in the morning to avoid the heat in the afternoon.
We had a fantastic time at Isla Palomino! The beach was clean and free of seaweed, and there were plenty of towels, chairs, and umbrellas available. The restaurant and bar on the upper level had an amazing view. The ferry ride over was quick, only 10-15 minutes. A special shout out to the ferry "Tortuga" and Captain Alberto, who even let our son try driving the ferry on the way back. Overall, it was a great experience and we will definitely be returning next time we visit the island!
