The beach was absolutely incredible! The rooms, the view, and the service were all top-notch. We even had the opportunity to spot toucans and sloths. I highly recommend this place. We stayed for a week and I didn't want to leave. I will definitely be returning in the future.
This place is absolutely incredible to stay at, with lush trees, playful howling monkeys, and the delightful toucan Rio all around. The atmosphere is so laid-back, and you have your very own private beach to enjoy every single day. The breakfast options are fantastic, especially the delicious smoothies. And the best part is that dinner is different every day, but always mouthwatering. Without a doubt, this is the perfect place to stay when you're on the island.
The beach is located in a beautiful and secluded area, just a 10-minute walk from the famous Bluff beach. We were able to spot a toucan in the garden and a monkey right across from the hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the terraces offer magnificent views. However, it is important to be cautious with small children as the beach is situated on a steep cliff and the balconies are not suitable for babies. The dinner provided good value for money and was delicious. To reach the beach, you can take a bus from Bocas main square, which runs every hour until 6 pm. The bus fare is $3, while a taxi ride costs between $15 and $20.
During our four-night stay in the star fish cabina, we had an absolutely wonderful time! The highlights were the incredible breakfast and dinner, the stunning and relaxing surroundings in the middle of the jungle, and the opportunity to go for a morning run in the area. Additionally, the staff was extremely friendly. However, it's important to note that the beach is quite far from the town. Fortunately, as two healthy 27-year-old girls, we were able to rent bikes from el Rasta, which worked out great! The only minor inconvenience was that most of the staff didn't speak Spanish, which was a bit annoying considering we were in a Spanish-speaking country.
The hotel is tucked away in the jungle and offers stunning ocean views and private beaches, making it an ideal spot for relaxation. The staff, including the owners Matthew and Diana, are incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a homely atmosphere. The prices are reasonable, the food is fantastic, and the drinks are top-notch. I highly recommend staying there! You can easily reach the hotel by taking a bus for just 3 USD or opting for a cab, which costs no more than 15 dollars.
