We went to thirdwave but the waves were choppy. So we went here after hearing from the guys at the board rental shop that we’ll probably see some sets around this area. And they were right! Was awesome for longboarding! We had some good small gentle waves 🥰 Lots of parking in the area too
A great beach with a lot of people who are surfing. This beach was the first destination of Great Ocean Road Tour and it was definitely beautiful & peaceful.
beautiful coastal line, great place for resting and walking on the sand
It’s close to kids beach, the Torquay lifesaving club, So u can bring ur kids to play there. Apart from enjoying the waves, the right side of surf beach are another beauty. You can see the rocks along the beach and of course be careful of the tiny rocks along the way. I do spent time walking along, stayed on the beach for sunbath and surfing, time flied. Found it’s getting more crowded around 5 to 6pm. More people coming to the beach and enjoy the swim.
Some really great waves and very suitable for novice to intermediate surfers, depending on the conditions. Plenty of car spaces, although it can get quite busy during the summer months. Showers are outside along with nearby changing rooms / toilet facilities. Dogs are allowed off leash during certain times of the year which is great. Surf hire and nearby food/drink is about a 10 minutes walk away from the beach.
