This is my absolute favorite beach in South Yarmouth! You can either bike or park with a permit on Judan Way or at the Town Lot across the street. There's a nice, clean bathroom right in front, but unfortunately no showers. The town has made the first 20 yards from the street onto the beach very walkable. The sand has a pleasingly coarse texture and the ocean is usually free of seaweed, calm, and warmed by the Gulf Stream. There's no need to worry about sharks. You'll see plenty of horseshoe crabs, pipers, plovers, seagulls, and on colder days, jellyfish move towards the shore. This is a great beach for walking- head towards Parker River or Smugglers Beach. Snorkeling is excellent and floats are allowed. There's one lifeguard on duty and a roaming presence from the ToY/Coast Guard.

This beach offers something for everyone, making it a truly versatile destination. For those who relish the simple pleasure of lounging on the sand with a good book, the area near the bridge is ideal. Meanwhile, families with little ones who love to frolic in the water and hunt for crabs will find the tidal stream to be a perfect spot. Older children who enjoy kayaking or swimming in a larger body of water will be thrilled with the peninsula where the river meets the ocean, offering the chance to drift with the current or paddle around. Adventurous swimmers can even venture out to the sand bar. However, those who dislike seaweed should steer clear of the ocean and larger river areas and opt for the tidal stream instead. With its vast expanse and numerous tidal streams, this beach is perfect for a leisurely stroll or a family outing with kids of any age. Whether you're seeking solitude or companionship, this beach is a must-visit spot on the Cape.
