Calm, measured rest and the sound of waves are perhaps the most common associations that arise with the word "beach". This is not surprising, as relaxation is exactly what many beach travelers are looking for. If you associate your vacation primarily with such activity, choose one of the 3 beaches in the state.

To make your choice easier, we have prepared a list of the best beaches for relaxation in Arizona.

Attraction and Infrastructure

As for the main features of the beaches of Arizona, they are as follows:

  • The state's beaches are mainly wide, long and have a high level of cleanliness. The most common surface is a mix of sand and rocks of bright color.
  • Since many beaches are sandy - rocky, we recommend taking special shoes with you to avoid discomfort during your vacation.
  • Usually, entry into the water is gentle, which is very good for kids. There are 2 such beaches.
  • The average distance from the road to beach in Arizona is less than 500 meters. 2 beaches are relatively easy to access, and 1 beach are only accessible from the water. The latter include both island beaches and beaches with no land routes due to the natural borders.

Wild beaches with no infrastructure dominate the coastline of Arizona however, even here you can find a beach with a standard set of accessories: sun beds, umbrellas, restaurants, showers and toilets.

This destination is fantastic for exploring! My spouse and I parked in the designated area and strolled all the way to the shoreline. It's warm and a bit lengthy, but definitely worth it. We opted not to drive all the way down as we were uncertain if our SUV could handle the sandy terrain. On our return journey, we noticed a vehicle stuck, which is not ideal in the summer heat. Just a heads up, if you plan on driving your SUV down, be sure to take the correct path. Additionally, I should mention that we paid $30 upon entry, although I'm not sure if this is the standard fee.

The view is incredibly serene and stunning! The restrooms are not available during the winter months. The parking area is spacious enough. There is a short hike to reach the beach. The river is exceptionally clean and the beach is well taken care of. There are also fantastic views in the vicinity. If you're in the area, make sure to visit and see for yourself - you'll definitely enjoy it!

You have the option to rent a houseboat at this destination. Our experience staying here was truly delightful.

There are few offers for accommodation in the beach area, so finding a suitable place to stay can be a problem. You can use the map search to get more information about this.
