There are several spots on the beach where you can rent sunbeds with umbrellas for €14 a day. The ocean is stunning, but very chilly, and the rocky incline can make it hard to get out of the sea when the tide recedes. It's a great place to spend the day, particularly in the off-season when it's much less crowded.

Playa Almayate

That place is a beautiful spot right next to the campsite, making it incredibly easy to access.

The waters at this beach may be shallow, but it's still far too crowded for comfort in the summertime. Taking the bus from Malaga is a good deal at 1.80 per person, but it's not worth it for the amount of people you'll have to contend with. Kids may enjoy playing in the water, but it's not worth the hassle of dealing with the hordes of tourists.
