The beach is absolutely beautiful and well worth the visit. It's a great spot for a day trip with family or friends. One of the best things about this beach is that it's open to the public and free to enter. The scenery is breathtaking and there are plenty of opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, and relaxing. Overall, I highly recommend checking out this beach if you're in the area.
The beach is absolutely stunning and is accompanied by fascinating brick works ruins. The best part is that the beach has public free entry!
When you manage to park in the closest spot, you'll have to hike downhill for about 15 minutes to reach Porth Wen Brickworks. It's a fantastic spot for taking photos, especially if you visit during a less crowded time. During my visit, the weather was lovely and there were many wild campers around.
If you have an interest in abandoned structures and locations, this beach is a unique spot to visit. The old brickworks have been deserted for several years, adding to its allure. Although parking is limited, you can still find a spot nearby with some creativity. It's a short 20-minute walk from the parking area to reach the ruins.
We visited the old abandoned brickwork and found it to be a peaceful and serene location. We came across some young hikers who were packing up their camping gear, and it appears to be a popular spot for camping along the coastal walking route. Although there is no information or displays about its history, it is a hidden gem for photographers. The parking is limited, but it's a manageable 30-minute walk to get there. It's important to bring water and snacks since there are no amenities available. The colors of the area are breathtaking when the lighting is right. However, it's not recommended for families with young children. It's a tranquil and introspective place that showcases the beauty of industrial decay.
