This beach is one of my all-time favorite spots. You can enjoy views of the castle ruins and take a leisurely stroll to the black rock. The beach itself is stunning and conveniently located near restaurants, cafes, and public restrooms. There is ample parking available along the front, although it is not free. While the beach is mostly rocky, there are sandy areas as well. During the summer months, there is a separate section designated as a dog beach.
This beautiful beach is situated right under the watchful gaze of Criccieth Castle and is adorned with gray pebbles.
The beach is absolutely delightful! You can easily park close by, but it's best to bring cash instead of relying on the parking app. The beach is pristine and has plenty of pebbles for skimming. We particularly enjoyed the dog-free area and the stunning views of the castle. In addition, there are disc golf and foot golf courses available, as well as paddle board and kayak rentals. There are also plenty of options for ice cream and gelato, as well as restrooms, a grassy area, a restaurant, and a takeaway cafe. It's a peaceful spot that's not too crowded and doesn't feel too touristy. Plus, the water is calm and inviting!
This is a fantastic beach that we have had the pleasure of visiting in January, and fortunately, we have always been blessed with good weather. It's a great place to take our dogs for long walks, and it's definitely one of my top beaches. The view of Criccieth castle in the background adds to its picturesque charm.
Criccieth Beach is a stunning place to take a stroll, especially when the sun is shining. Additionally, the beach is covered in lovely gray pebbles.
