The journey to the beach was definitely worth it. As someone who enjoys swimming in the sea throughout the year, I didn't let the choppy, seaweed-filled and murky water deter me from taking a quick dip. After about 10 minutes in the water, I was greeted by a friendly seal that popped up just 15 feet away from me, as if to say hello! It was truly an incredible experience. On my way back, I strolled along the little river and waterfall, making it a truly enchanting morning.
This beach was a total letdown. It was way too isolated and eerily silent. There were no amenities whatsoever, including a lack of parking. We had to walk for 15 long minutes just to reach it, and it wasn't even worth the effort. The only thing remotely interesting was a tiny waterfall nearby and some mediocre views from the walks. The water was clear, but that's about the only good thing I can say about it. I wish we hadn't wasted our time trying to find this place.
Nestled away, lies a charming and secluded beach, merely a 15-minute stroll from a convenient lay-by situated on the main road near Forest Farm. As you make your way down, keep your eyes peeled for the possibility of catching a glimpse of majestic racehorses, as we were fortunate enough to do. This hidden gem of a beach is a true delight, waiting to be discovered by those seeking a tranquil and idyllic escape.
This charming and peaceful beach is tucked away in a secluded spot, with a gentle stream running nearby. The shoreline boasts a mixture of soft sand and rugged rocks, making it a picturesque setting for a relaxing day by the sea. Accessible via the scenic coastal footpath, this hidden gem also offers the added bonus of a nearby waterfall, adding to the already idyllic atmosphere.
As we strolled from our campsite towards Cwm yr Eglwys, we stumbled upon a hidden gem - a breathtaking bay that seemed to be a world away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The beach was pristine and the water crystal clear, making it an idyllic spot for a refreshing swim. On a sunny day, it was a true haven for sun worshippers. However, reaching this secluded paradise was no easy feat - we had to traverse steep, sloping paths that were part of the coastal trail, as there were no roads leading to the bay. Despite the effort required to get there, the stunning views and serene atmosphere made it all worthwhile.
